The Repair Shop

The Museum’s Court Barn from Lee-on-the-Solent is home to BBC’s The Repair Shop series and is closed for private hire (filming). When filming is taking place, the film set is not open for visitors to explore.

Open dates

We are delighted to announce that visitors to the Museum will be able to take a sneak peek inside The Repair Shop barn on the following dates:

  • 5–6 November
  • 19–20 November
  • 26–27 November

These dates can change depending on any late changes to the production schedule. Please do check 2-3 weeks ahead if visiting the Repair Shop is an integral part of your visit. Please call 01243 811363 for more information.

Please note that the cast and crew of The Repair Shop will not be present on these open days. We also politely request that all visitors must remain behind the barriers once they have stepped inside The Repair Shop barn.

Repair Shop Enquires

For all Repair Shop enquiries, please do not contact the Museum (we are simply the venue) – instead, please contact Ricochet directly.

Please note that the conservators featured in the series come from across the UK and are not resident at the Museum – the Museum is unable to offer conservation advice for the repair of items and unable to accept post or take delivery of items for repair. If you are interested in applying to be on the series please apply via the website: www.ricochet.co.uk/casting/the-repair-shop

For all other queries please contact 01273 224800 or email repair@ricochet.co.uk and liaise directly with Ricochet before sending your items in the post, to avoid loss or damage.
